Greg Maiola

Media Information Manager at Detroit Lions

Greg Maiola has worked in the NFL in various communications and media roles for the past three years. Greg began as an intern with the Houston Texans in June 2017, before moving on to the Indianapolis Colts in May 2018. In their time with the Colts, Greg helped transition the team's media operation to a comprehensive platform, NFLOMG.com. Greg also assisted with all aspects of the media operation during the team's rookie mini-camp, OTAs and mandatory mini-camp.

In February 2018, Greg began working for the Professional Football Writers of America as an NFL Combine Transcript Facilitator. In this role, Greg developed a systematic method of assigning writers to transcribe NFL prospects while increasing PFWA membership numbers. Greg also aided the media with any questions, transcribed audio and pitched story ideas.

Greg has also worked for the NCAA as a March Madness Transcript Assistant and for the NFL as a Super Bowl LIV and LIII Staff Member. In their current role as Media Information Manager for the Detroit Lions, Greg is responsible for coordinating interviews and press conferences, writing press releases and game recaps, and managing the team's social media accounts.

Greg Maiola attended Niagara University, where they majored in Sport Management and minored in Communications.
