Senior Manager, Operations at Detroit Lions

Nate Sass is the current Event Manager at the Detroit Lions. Prior to their current position, Nate worked as an Athletic Facilities Student Assistant at Western Michigan University from August 2016 to May 2017. In this role, they were responsible for managing on-site logistics for Division 1 athletic events, as well as performing game day operations and supporting coaches with practice and game day preparation. Nate also gained valuable knowledge of the athletic venues on and off campus through event planning and hands-on experience.

Prior to their role at the Athletic Facilities, Nate worked as a Stock Assistant for Western Michigan University Dining Services from January 2015 to May 2016. In this role, they were responsible for performing offloading and logistical stocking of products, as well as providing support preparation for chefs with ingredients and materials needed for cooking that day. Nate also provided strategic assistance as needed to fill voids in the delivery of dining services and support the distribution of food product assistance including dish room, checking cards, and helping cooks.

Before their time at Western Michigan University, Nate worked as a Grounds Crew Maintenance at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center from May 2014 to August 2016. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring that they were up to standards.

Nate Sass pursued a career in sports management and received their degree from Western Michigan University.

They work with Sarah Young - Events Assistant & Administrator, Logan Novak - Event Coordinator. Nate Sass reports to Brad Michaels, Executive Director, Quick Lane Bowl & Events.
