Shawn Rieschl Johnson is an accomplished arts administrator with extensive experience in production and management within the performing arts sector. Currently serving as Chief Programming and Production Officer at Detroit Opera since July 2023, Shawn has held senior roles at various prestigious organizations, including Managing Director at Gulf Coast Symphony and Associate Director for Programming and Operations at Kennesaw State University. Prior positions include Senior Director of Production at The Atlanta Opera and roles at Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Santa Fe Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and Palm Beach Opera. Shawn holds an Executive MBA from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University Bloomington.
