Lamarr Pottinger

Lamarr Pottinger is an accomplished professional in leadership development and organizational advancement, currently serving as the Director of Performance and Organizational Development for the Detroit Pistons since May 2025. Prior to this role, Pottinger held multiple positions at the NCAA, including Director and Associate Director of Leadership Development, where responsibilities included overseeing learning solutions and managing a national internship program. As the Assistant Athletic Director for the J.T and Margaret Talkington Leadership Academy at Texas Tech University, Pottinger led leadership initiatives for various stakeholders. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Student-Athlete Development at Old Dominion University, where Pottinger implemented significant programs focused on career readiness and leadership. Pottinger also facilitated leadership forums for student-athletes at the NCAA. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Studies from Eastern Illinois University and a Master's degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville.
