Joyce Krom

Joyce Krom currently serves as the Assistant Manager at the Frederick Douglass Branch of the Detroit Public Library since March 2024. Previously, Krom held the position of Head of Youth Services at Mount Clemens Public Library from September 2020 to October 2023, where responsibilities included supervising a team, managing budgets, and overseeing significant renovations. Prior roles include Youth Services Librarian at Huntington Woods Library and various educational positions as a teacher. Krom's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan.
