Omar Hakim

Omar Hakim, Ed.D. is the Executive Director of Education at Detroit Public Television. Omar previously served as Principal at Birmingham Covington Schools and as an IB Coordinator and Upper School English Teacher at Detroit Country Day School. Omar also has experience as a University Research Fellow at Michigan State University and as an IB/MYP Teacher at International Academy. Dr. Hakim holds a Doctor of Education, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts in Education and Literature.
