Ed Wolking Jr has had a long and successful career in the chamber of commerce industry. Ed began their career in 1972 as a Group Vice President at the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, where they worked until 1979. Ed then moved to the Columbus, Indiana, Chamber of Commerce, where they served as President from 1979 to 1986. In 1986, they joined the Detroit Regional Chamber and held the position of Executive Vice President until their retirement in 2016.

Ed Wolking Jr attended Covington Catholic High School from 1964 to 1968. Ed then pursued higher education at Xavier University, where they studied History, English, Economics, and Finance. Ed obtained both a BA and MBA degree from Xavier University, completing their studies from 1968 to 1972. In addition, Ed Wolking Jr holds a certification as a Certified Chamber Executive from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
