Elizabeth Kurkowski is a dedicated event manager and stage manager with extensive experience in overseeing theatrical productions and coordinating office events. Currently serving as the Manager of Signature Events at the Detroit Regional Chamber since May 2022, Elizabeth has previously been the Stage Manager for PEANUT GALLERY PLAYERS since June 2016, where oversight of year-round productions, team leadership, and coordination of communication and schedules are key responsibilities. Elizabeth also has experience as an Office Event Coordinator at IHA, managing multiple offices and planning various events, while ensuring adherence to company protocols. Elizabeth holds a Master of Health Administration in Hospitality Administration/Management from the University of Cincinnati and dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Honors Public Health from Wayne State University.

Launched in 1979, the program aims to create awareness of key issues that affect the Detroit region and to challenge emerging andexisting community leaders to bring about positive change in the community through informed leadership.Leadership Detroit offers a once in a lifetime opportunity for professionals to take their leadership agenda to the next level. They offer a unique, behind-the-scenes approach to understanding the inner workings of the region and the people that make it work.Participants tap into a diverse pool of professionals that are actively engaged from multiple perspectives in improving the quality of life in the region. The conversation is open and fluid and embraces multiple perspectives. They create a space where new ideas can emerge and where assumptions can be challenged.
