Alan M. Weber, EdD has a comprehensive and diverse work experience. Alan M. is currently the Managing Vice President of Business Development for the Detroit Regional Partnership, where they are responsible for attracting out-of-state and international companies to invest in Southeast Michigan. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Global Investment & Trade at the same organization.

Weber has also held positions outside of the economic development field, including Vice President at the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and Customer Service Manager at Universal Staffing.

Alan M. Weber, EdD pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from Oakland University from 2001 to 2006. Subsequently, they attended the University of Michigan-Flint from 2006 to 2007, where they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on the Administration of Government & Nonprofit Agencies. Later, from 2017 to 2018, Weber returned to Oakland University to obtain a Post Master Certification in Local Government. The pursuit of higher education continued, leading him to Oakland University once again, where they completed a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Government-Organizational Development from 2017 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Weber also received a Certification in Economic Development (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council. Furthermore, they obtained the IOM certification from the Institute for Organization Management/US Chamber of Commerce in August 2011.
