Christine Roeder

Christine Roeder has a diverse background in economic development and business growth. Christine is currently working as the Executive Vice President / Regional Economic Competitiveness Officer at the Detroit Regional Partnership. In this role, they are leading the Global Epicenter of Mobility (GEM) project, which aims to create an advanced mobility industry in southeast Michigan.

Prior to their current position, Christine held various roles at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). Christine served as a Senior Partner Relationship Executive and oversaw several teams within the business development unit. Christine was also the Senior Vice President in charge of growth and development, where they had oversight of global and domestic business attraction, retention and expansion, strategic business relationships, and more.

Before joining the MEDC, Christine worked as the Vice President of Michigan Retention and Growth, leading a team responsible for the state's business retention and expansion program. Christine also served as a Regional Director in the same department and as a Business Development Manager.

Earlier in their career, Christine worked as an Economic Development Specialist at the City of Farmington Hills. Christine also served as the Marketing Manager at bd's mongolian barbeque and as the Economic Development Director/Downtown Development Authority Director at the City of Eastpointe, Michigan.

Throughout their career, Christine has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering economic growth and building partnerships.

Christine Roeder completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Public Affairs: Metropolitan Studies at Michigan State University from 1989 to 1994. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Urban Planning degree at Wayne State University from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Christine has also obtained a certification in Economic Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council.
