Stacie Durant CPA has a strong background in financial management and accounting. Stacie began their career in public accounting at KPMG for 10 years before transitioning to the role of Director of Finance at the Department of Public Services in the County of Wayne in 2004. In August 2011, they were promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer, where they were responsible for financial reporting and implementing accounting changes. In 2013, Stacie joined the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing a $750 million budget and ensuring fiscal stability while funding over 500 providers for mental health and substance use disorder services. Their role as CFO required a deep understanding of the behavioral health system to prioritize resources and achieve desired outcomes for the members.
Stacie Durant CPA pursued their education in accounting from 1988 to 1993 at the University of Michigan. Stacie specialized in the field of accounting during their time at the university. Stacie obtained additional certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Michigan in October 1996.
