Michelle Souza currently serves as the Commissary Supervisor for the Detroit Zoological Society, overseeing the acquisition, preparation, and distribution of food supplies for the animal departments at the Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Nature Center. With previous experience as an Animal Care Supervisor at the Petting Farm at Domino's Farm and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Eastern Michigan University, Michelle also contributed to community outreach as an Outreach Specialist for the City of Ann Arbor. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Ecological Evolutionary and Organismal Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, complemented by additional studies in Pharmacy Technology and research assistance at The Ohio State University.
