Georg Sauer

Georg Sauer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business intelligence and data analytics. Currently serving as the Head of Business Intelligence and Chief Data Officer at DB Energie GmbH since April 2019, Georg has successfully established a new business division, built a team of data scientists, and developed a cloud-based Data and Analytics Platform. Prior to this role, Georg held various leadership positions at 1&1 Internet SE and Telefónica Germany, focusing on business intelligence finance, service and sales controlling, and customer intelligence. Georg's career also includes a tenure at HypoVereinsbank, where analytical CRM processes were optimized for physical branches. Holding a Master's degree in Business Administration from Freie Universität Berlin, Georg possesses a strong background in analytics-driven decision-making and team management.
