Dr. Sebastian Schoppmann is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and legal counsel. Currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel at Deutsche Börse since July 2018, Dr. Schoppmann previously held positions as Senior Regulatory Compliance Expert at KfW and Spezialist Compliance at Deutsche Postbank. His early legal training includes roles as a Rechtsreferendar at OLG Köln and Flick Gocke Schaumburg and as a Consultant for The World Bank. Dr. Schoppmann has also gained valuable experience through internships at notable institutions such as the European Parliament and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Dr. Schoppmann holds a law degree from The University of Bonn and a doctoral degree from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
