Sarah Palmer

Sarah Palmer is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in financial law and monetary policy. Currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel at the European Central Bank since February 2014, Sarah specializes in asset-backed securities (ABS), the Asset-Backed Securities Purchase Programme (ABSPP), and market operations. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as a Legal Counsel at the European Central Bank, focusing on similar areas. Between April 2008 and January 2014, Sarah was a Senior Associate at Clifford Chance, where responsibilities included structured debt, securitization, and equity capital markets. Sarah's career began at the European Central Bank as a Lawyer-Linguist. Educationally, Sarah holds an LL.M. from Trinity College Dublin and a LL.B. in Law and German, also from Trinity College Dublin, along with studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
