Steffen Leiwesmeier

Steffen Leiwesmeier has a diverse work experience in the banking and finance sector. Steffen is currently serving as the Head of Strategic Treasury at Deutsche GigaNetz GmbH since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Hamburg Commercial Bank for almost nine years as the Head of Financing Digital Infrastructure, from September 2013 to March 2022. Before joining Hamburg Commercial Bank, Steffen held the position of Associate Director at NIBC Bank from September 2006 to August 2013. Steffen also worked as an Associate Director at Halifax Bank of Scotland for a brief period in 2006. Steffen's career began at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, where they served as a Prokurist from May 1999 to March 2006. Steffen Leiwesmeier has gained extensive experience in treasury, financing, and infrastructure sectors throughout their professional journey.

Steffen Leiwesmeier completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Wirtschaftswissenschaften at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf/Düsseldorf Business School from 2003 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their Diplom-Volkswirt degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from The University of Freiburg in 1999. Additionally, they completed their Kaufmannsgehilfe im Verlagswesen degree at Industrie- und Handelskammer Köln in 1989. Steffen Leiwesmeier also attended Evangelisches Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster Berlin and obtained their Abitur in 1987.
