Andy Squarra has a diverse work experience in various industries. Andy started their career as a Trainee at Airbus Hamburg in 2003, followed by a Global Trainee position at Boeing Seattle in 2004. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a self-employed Event Manager at Nexus Art GmbH, Close Up Posters e.K. In 2008, Andy joined Lufthansa Technik AG as a Degree candidate and later held roles as a Project Manager and Airworthiness Engineer CAMO and an Aviation Manager, Aircraft Modification International. Andy then joined Deutsche Windtechnik AG in 2016 as a Customer Manager and Deputy Head of Customer Management & Technical Wind Farm Management.
Andy Squarra obtained their Diploma in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Technische Universität Berlin, where they studied from 1998 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained an Intermediate Diploma in Architecture from the same university, studying from 1996 to 1998.
In addition to their formal education, Andy Squarra holds several certifications. In 2012, they obtained a certification in Aviation Legislation from Lufthansa Technical Training. In 2011, they obtained certifications in Systematic problemsolving and decision making, EWIS - Electrical Wire Interconnection System Course, and Project Management (Management of Critical Project Situations) from Lufthansa Technical Training, Lufthansa Technical Training - LTT, and Lufthansa School of Business, respectively. In the same year, they also obtained certifications in Emergency Flight Training from Lufthansa Flight Training, MSG-3 Analysis Training from Lufthansa Technik, and Fuel Tank - Safety Training Level 2 from Lufthansa Technik. In 2010, they obtained a certification in EASA Part-M from Lufthansa Technical Training - LTT. In 2009, they obtained certifications in RR RB 211 TRENT800 (B777-200/300) EASA Part-66 B1 Theoretical and RR RB211 TRENT800 (B777-200/300) EASA Part-66 B1 Practical Elements from Lufthansa Technical Training - LTT. In 2009, they also obtained a certification in Project Management (Basics) from Lufthansa School of Business. Furthermore, in 2008, they obtained a Lean Basic Training certification from Lufthansa Technik. Lastly, in 2005, they obtained a PPL - Private Pilot License certification from FAA - Federal Aviation Administration.
