Asif Aman Khan has a strong background in humanitarian work, with a focus on disaster management and climate change adaptation. Asif held various roles with the German Red Cross, including Head of Office and Climate Change Advisor. In these positions, they were responsible for representing the organization, managing resources, and implementing activities according to approved plans and budgets. Prior to their work with the German Red Cross, Asif held leadership positions with the Danish Red Cross, where they managed a country office and coordinated disaster management operations in the Middle East and North Africa region. Asif also worked with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, providing support to earthquake-affected areas and coordinating relief efforts. Throughout their career, Asif has demonstrated a commitment to building partnerships, developing capacity, and responding effectively to humanitarian crises.
Asif Aman Khan began their education in 1990 when they enrolled at Edwards College in Peshawar, Pakistan. Asif pursued a Bachelor's degree in History and completed their studies at this institution in 1993. Following this, Asif continued their education at the University of Peshawar, also located in Pakistan, from 1993 to 1997. During this period, they attained a Master's degree in International Relations.
