Barat Azizov

Barat Azizov has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Barat began their career as an Interpreter/Assistant at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Barat then worked as a Project Assistant and later as a Project Manager at the United Methodist Committee on Relief, where they managed community development projects.

Barat then joined Save the Children International as a Community Mobilization Coordinator, where they established and managed a department for the Integrated Community Development Program.

Barat went on to work at Catholic Relief Services as a Program Coordinator and later as a Program Manager, where they focused on capacity building and advocacy initiatives for local NGOs in Azerbaijan.

Barat then joined World Vision International, initially serving as a Project Manager for an inclusive education project and later as a Senior Program Manager and Regional Development Manager. In these roles, they provided leadership and technical support, liaised with government bodies, and coordinated projects with other NGOs.

After their tenure at World Vision, Barat worked as a Consultant at Feelance, where they provided consulting services. Barat then joined SPARK as the Country Manager for Turkey and Syria, overseeing operations in those countries.

Currently, Barat serves as the Head of Office at the German Red Cross. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in project management, program development, financial management, and stakeholder coordination.

Barat Azizov attended Azerbaijan State University of Languages from 1992 to 1997. During this period, they obtained a diploma in English Language and Literature.
