Marc-André Souvignier has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Marc-André began their career in the German Army, serving as an Officer from 1991 to 1993. Marc-André then worked as an Assistant to the Director at Wirtschaft und Philosophie GmbH from 1993 to 1994.

Marc-André then became the Head of Unit at Deutsches Rotes Kreuz from 2018 to 2019. Following that, they served as an Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from 2019 to 2021.

Currently, Souvignier is the Head of the Operations & National Society Cooperation Department at the German Red Cross, where they are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of international operations and emergency response.

Marc-André Souvignier holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science, Law, and Social and Economic History from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, completed in 2005.
