Meenakshinathan Ramalingompillai

Meenakshinathan Ramalingompillai has extensive work experience in the field of disaster risk reduction and humanitarian aid. Meenakshinathan began their career in 2001 as a Project Officer and later became a Program Manager in an NGO. In 2005, they joined Plan International as a Programme Officer. In 2008, they worked as a Senior Coordinator in Aide et Action and then moved on to the Canadian Red Cross, where they served as a Project Support Officer and later as a State Program Coordinator & DM/DRR Manager. In 2013, Meenakshinathan joined the Indian Red Cross Society as a State Program Coordinator & DM/DRR Manager. During this time, they also worked as a Zonal Head of Operations for Skillpro Group. Since 2016, Meenakshinathan has been working with the German Red Cross, initially as a DRR/Livelihood Delegate, then as a Disaster Risk Reduction Delegate, and currently as the Head of the Office in the Philippines.

Meenakshinathan Ramalingompillai obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Studies degree in NGO Management at the same university.
