Becky Crane

Becky Crane is the current Director & Program Manager at Dev Technology Group, Inc. Becky has extensive experience in software development, project management, and release management. Becky has worked with various government organizations including Hewlett-Packard, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

In their role as Project Manager for ICE, Becky led a software development team of up to 35 resources to develop and deploy major and minor releases of a mission-critical system. Becky added multiple new modules, doubling the application’s size and scope. Becky managed the team with resources from prime and four subcontractors, maintaining high-success working relationships and fostering a single team mentality. Becky maintained focus on continual process improvement and navigated a multi-layered customer organization, across IT and business owner organizations. Becky utilized Agile development methodology and ICE SLM (SDLC) methodology. In Sept 2013, they transitioned to a smaller team with development and O&M responsibility for five applications.

As Developer for projects at the NLRB and USDA, Becky completed software development coding, unit testing, and production delivery tasks. Becky conducted requirements and analysis/design meetings with the customer. As Release Lead at NLRB, they led teams of 2-6 developers and testers to produce software releases, spearheaded efforts to streamline internal work processes, and established and administered a Change Control Board (CCB). As Release Lead as USCIS, Becky oversaw task assignments for a team of 4-8 developers, improved existing processes and implemented needed ones, and led a data center migration for the supported applications.

Becky Crane has a Master’s Degree from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Yale University. Becky is also certified as a ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance, an ITIL Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice, a PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) from the Project Management Institute, and a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute. Becky is also certified as a SAFe 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
