Mark Borte has extensive work experience in the telecommunications field. Mark started their career as a Communications Specialist in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1988 to 1992. Following their military service, Borte worked at Telergy, where they served as a Transmission Engineering Manager from 1996 to 2002. In this role, they led a team in designing, constructing, and operating a statewide fiber optic network.

In 2002, Borte joined WorldNet Communications as the Director of Operations.
