Refilwe M. is an experienced legal and turnaround specialist with a strong background in recoveries and business rescue. Currently serving as a Turnaround Specialist at the Development Bank of Southern Africa since August 2021, Refilwe previously held the position of Legal Manager at Mercantile Bank South Africa and Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation of Africa Limited, where responsibilities included overseeing legal recovery processes and assessing debt recoverability. Refilwe's career began as a Candidate Attorney at Diale Mogashoa Attorneys, followed by a role as Legal Advisor at Land Bank. Refilwe holds an LLB in Corporate Law from UNISA, a Programme for Management Development from GIBS Business School, and specialized training in insolvency law from the University of Pretoria. Admitted as an attorney in the High Court of South Africa, Refilwe also completed a paralegal program at the University of Johannesburg.
