Beverley Downes

Beverley Downes has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Beverley started their career as a Team Manager at ELWa and worked there from 1997 to 2002. Beverley then joined Finance Wales as the Head of Services and held this position from 2002 to 2015. In 2011, they worked as a Writer for Eats for Wales until 2014. In 2013, they became a Board Trustee for RSPCA Cardiff and the Vale and served until 2016. Beverley then joined the Development Bank of Wales as the Marketing and Communications Director in October 2017. Additionally, Beverley Downes served as a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chair at WJEC/CBAC from 2018 to 2022.

Beverley Downes completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Aberystwyth University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. In 2018, they obtained certifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, earning the MCIM and MCIPR designations respectively. In 2021, Beverley attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, focusing on the field of Leading Sustainable Corporations.
