Gil Makmel

Gil Makmel is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and software engineering. As Co-Founder and CTO of DevOcean Security since August 2021, Gil leads innovative security solutions. Prior to this role, significant contributions were made at CyberArk from September 2015 to August 2021, including positions as Innovation Group Manager and R&D Team Leader. Gil's career began at Cybertinel Ltd, which was acquired by CyberArk, where the role of Software Engineer was held. Earlier experience includes serving in Unit 8200 of the Israeli Intelligence Corps as a Cyber Security and Software Engineer. Gil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The College of Management Academic Studies, earned between 2013 and 2016.
