Ahmad Latifzai

Ahmad Latifzai is an experienced petrophysicist currently serving as an Advising Petrophysicist at Devon Energy since February 2024. Prior to this role, Ahmad worked at EOG Resources as a Petrophysical Advisor, specializing in development and exploration support for the Permian basin. Ahmad's extensive background includes a position as Staff Petrophysicist at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, providing support to various subsurface teams, and at Shell Oil Company, contributing to the improvement of exploration and appraisal success. Ahmad began a career at Schlumberger, where responsibilities included formation testing and analysis as well as field engineering duties, acquiring and interpreting petrophysical data. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, obtained in 1999.
