Santiago Agustín Fernandez

Santiago Agustín Fernandez has a wealth of experience in the field of Information Security. Starting in 2001, they have worked for PRISA as a Senior System Administrator and Information Technology Manager. In 2008, they became the Head of IT Security for La Caja de Ahorro y Seguro, where they were also a Technical Information Security Officer and Senior Information Security Analyst. In 2019, they joined Naranja X as the Chief Information Security Officer, and also started working for ISACA as a Cybersecurity Fundamentals Instructor and for Universidad de Palermo as a Professor Of Cybersecurity. In 2020, they became a DevOps Institute Ambassador and Board Member DevSecOps Latam for DevSecOps Latinoamerica, as well as a DevSecOps Space Ekoparty Coordinator for Ekoparty Security Conference. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Klar as the Chief Information Security Officer and Ekoparty Hackademy as the Director Cloud Security & DevSecOps.

Santiago Agustín Fernandez obtained a Licenciado en Tecnología de la Información from Universidad de Palermo between 2011 and 2015. In 2020-2021, they completed a Maestría en Seguridad de la Información y Continuidad de Negocio from UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia. Santiago Agustín has also obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, including AttackIQ, Codefresh, Mile2, ISACA, CertiProf, Amazon Web Services (AWS), DevOpsInstitute, Visa Business School, (ISC)², International Scrum Institute™, and Udemy. The most recent certification they obtained was Foundations of Operationalizing MITRE ATT&CK from AttackIQ in October 2022.
