Jim Fortune

Jim Fortune is an experienced educator and former technician with a diverse background. Since February 2013, Jim has served as the SST Coordinator and Professional Educator at DeWitt Public Schools, focusing on Michigan's Core Curriculum and various specialized subjects such as Applied Mathematics and Computer Programming. Prior to this role, Jim retired from the United States Postal Service as an Electronics Technician and from the United States Marine Corps, where Jim had an operations role. Jim also served in the US Army as an NCOIC in a classified position. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Secondary Education from Baker College of Owosso and additional technical certifications in UNIX Systems Technology and Internal Combustion Engines. Jim’s educational journey began with a diploma in General Studies from Petoskey High School.
