Karen Smbatian

Karen Smbatian has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Karen started their career at AGBU as a Marketing and Communications associate, where they played a key role in planning events, designing marketing materials, and creating engaging content.

In 2018, Karen joined Dexatel as a Business Development Manager. In this role, they managed partners and customers, cultivated relationships with retailers, provided customer support, and analyzed data to identify cost reduction opportunities. Karen also explored new markets and implemented strategies for the aggregation market.

Karen quickly advanced within Dexatel and became the Team Lead of Business Development in 2020. Karen successfully managed teams and exceeded performance goals while establishing relationships with top over-the-top players in the market, contributing to significant revenue growth.

In 2021, Karen was promoted to Head of Business Development | Messaging, where they used their strategic vision and leadership skills to develop and implement sales and growth strategies. Karen provided guidance and coaching to the business development and procurement teams, leveraging their market knowledge to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Most recently, Karen has taken on the role of Strategic Partnership Lead at Dexatel, where they relocated to Estonia to expand operations and leverage market opportunities. Karen excels at onboarding enterprise clients, increasing revenue in new markets, and establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
