Katie Jones is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in migration and refugee services. Currently serving as the Service Lead for the Regional Strategic Migration Partnership at Manchester City Council since July 2017, Katie collaborates with Directors of Children's Services to facilitate the accommodation of vulnerable refugee children, focusing on best practice sharing. Previous roles include Policy Advisor at the Local Government Association, where Katie supported national migration policy, and Housing and Advice Manager at First Choice Homes Oldham. Earlier experience encompasses positions at the UN Migration Agency as a Communications Officer and at Rochdale Borough Council as Operations Manager, overseeing asylum and refugee resettlement contracts. Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations from Lancaster University.
