Porter Bourie

Porter Bourie, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), social science, and regional expertise in West Africa. Currently, as the Director and Senior Technical Advisor at Dexis Consulting Group since October 2015, Porter established a Research Hub and has led teams in evaluating counterterrorism programs for the Department of State. Previous roles include Senior Professional Staff at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and various consultative positions focusing on socio-cultural dynamics in West Africa. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder, complemented by teaching positions and field research in environmental development. Additionally, experience as a Peace Corps Agriculture Extension Agent in Togo highlights Porter’s commitment to community development and education.
