Leena Mäkisalo

Leena Mäkisalo has extensive experience in operations, manufacturing, and engineering roles. Leena is currently the Director of Operations at DEXIS since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Manufacturing Operations at FinVector Oy from 2021 to 2023. Before that, they held various positions at Orion Corporation, including Head of Operations, Injection & Inhalation, and Head of Technical Operations, Tablet Manufacturing. Leena has also worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Engineering Manager and R&D Project Manager. Leena'searly career includes a role as a Production Planner at Lumene Group.

Leena Mäkisalo completed their education at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Marketing. Later, they pursued further studies at Markkinointi-instituutti from 2004 to 2006, specializing in Johtamisen erikoisammattitutkinto. In 2013 and 2014, Leena attended Laatukeskus Excellence Finland to obtain a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Finally, in 2016 and 2017, they participated in the Horizon Executive Leadership Programme at the University of St.Gallen, focusing on Leading in VUCA world, Desing Thinking, Process and Operational Excellence, and Innovation.
