Maria began their career as a Process Engineer at PetroSantander (Colombia) Inc. in October 2014. In this role, they conducted a cooling tower water-quality treatment process and ensured its efficiency by monitoring the physicochemical and microbiological characteristics of the system, optimizing the gas-cooling process time. Maria also adapted a gas laboratory to perform product quality tests which assured the meeting of the company standards. In addition, they led and updated the Quality Management System of the gas processing plant area in accordance with the provisions of ISO 9001 Standard.

In September 2018, Maria took on the role of Sales Associate at Hanesbrands Inc. In this role, they provided in-depth product knowledge including features, benefits, and overall value increasing the possibility of sale by 60%. Maria also surpassed daily sales goals by talking with Maria'spanic speakers customers in their native language and increased purchase totals by recommending additional items based on stated customer preferences and budget targets. Maria also processed cash and credit transactions through the company POS system and created attractive displays for merchandise to enhance sales.

Most recently, Maria has been working as a Curriculum Team member at Dexter since May 2019.
