Mechanical Design Engineer II at DeZURIK

Aishwarya Pillai has extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering roles. Aishwarya is currently working for DeZURIK as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Product Development department. In this role, they manage and leads multiple product development projects concurrently, performs finite element analysis (FEA) to analyze structural integrity, and conducts design verification and validation testing. Aishwarya also has advanced knowledge of GD&T and develops and modifies 3D CAD models using SolidWorks. Prior to their current position, Aishwarya worked as a Design Engineer at Nevers Industries Inc, where they delivered detailed CAD drawings, developed bills of materials (BOMs), and supported cross-functional teams. Aishwarya also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota, delivering lectures on engineering topics and developing engineering projects and training sessions. Aishwarya has previously worked as an English Second Language Instructor at the British Council and as a CAD Designer at Precision Engineering Industries.

Aishwarya Pillai completed their Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their degree programs, Aishwarya also obtained various certifications including CETOL 6σ from Sigmetrix in February 2022, Introduction to Programming Using Python from Sololearn in February 2022, Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider from the American Heart Association in October 2021, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) from the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board in October 2021, Solidworks Simulation 2021 from Alignex, Inc. (Now GoEngineer) in January 2021, GD&T from Applied GD&T, LLC in October 2020, SOLIDWORKS 2019 Essential Training and SOLIDWORKS: Simulation for Finite Element Analysis from LinkedIn in January 2020, and Catia V6 from Tata Technologies in October 2016.
