Daniel Towner, P.E. has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Daniel currently works as a Sr. Research Engineer at DeZURIK, Inc., where they specialize in FEA and CFD simulations, stress and thermal calculations, and the production of engineering reports. Prior to this, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Uni-Systems Engineering, where they designed and performed calculations for drive mechanisms for large structures, including telescopes and retractable roofs. Before that, Daniel worked at Schlumberger, where they held multiple positions including Mud Motor Design Engineer, Research and Development Design Engineer, Percussion Design Engineer, and Turbodrill Design Engineer. Daniel also served in the US Army as a Machinist and worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at I-Tec.

Daniel Towner, P.E. earned a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Machine Design from Iowa State University between 2015 and 2022. Daniel previously received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University, which they attended from 2007 to 2010. In 2006, Daniel obtained a certificate in German Language Studies from the University of Düsseldorf. Before attending university, they pursued General Studies at Normandale Community College in 2005 and 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Daniel Towner has obtained various Professional Engineer (P.E.) certifications. These include certifications from the New York State Education Department, the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering & Land Surveying, the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCBELS), the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, the State of Minnesota, the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, and the State of California. These certifications were obtained between 2017 and 2023.
