Anna Kilkenny has extensive experience in international development and human rights advocacy, currently serving as Deputy Director for the Human Rights, Gender, Governance Policy Team at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland since September 2014. Previously, Anna held roles such as Development Specialist with Irish Aid in Mozambique, where responsibilities included managing programs in education and local development, and as a policy advisor focusing on education and HIV/AIDS at the Policy, Planning and Effectiveness Unit. Earlier career positions include Country Project Manager for the Mines Advisory Group in the Republic of Congo, Community Liaison Manager in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Programme Development Officer with Concern Bangladesh. Anna holds a degree from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and has further education from UCL.
