Ralph Victory

Ralph Victory currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Protocol at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland, since August 2023. Previously, Ralph held the position of Ambassador at the Embassy of Ireland in Portugal from August 2019 to August 2023. Ralph's experience in communications is highlighted by a role as Director of the Communications Unit at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from February 2015 to August 2019, where responsibilities included promoting Ireland's foreign policy. Ralph also served as Press & Information Counsellor at the Embassy of Ireland in Washington D.C., focusing on media relations and public diplomacy from August 2011 to January 2015. Earlier roles include Deputy Head of Mission in Warsaw and various positions within Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including work on reconciliation funding and security policy. Ralph holds a MA in Strategic Communications from American University, a Master of Arts in International Relations from Dublin City University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business from University College Dublin.
