Lai Kooi Thong

Lai Kooi Thong is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in banking and finance law. Currently a Partner and Co-Head of the Cambodia Banking & Finance Practice Group at DFDL since January 2023, Lai has previously held significant roles as Lead Consultant and Senior Consultant at Konexo, as well as Co-Head and Senior Consultant at DFDL from June 2019 to December 2020. Prior experience includes serving as a Partner at Adnan Sundra & Low and a Senior Associate at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. Lai holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Reading, a Bar Vocational Course from the College of Law, Birmingham, and is pursuing a Master of Science in Finance and Financial Law at SOAS University of London.
