Sharon Horton is a seasoned professional in the food industry with extensive experience in quality assurance, food safety, and product development. Currently serving as the Group Technical Director at DFI Retail Group since June 2012, Sharon oversees a comprehensive scope that includes product technology, food safety, quality control, regulatory compliance, health and safety, and ethical sourcing. Prior roles include Group Quality Assurance and Food Safety Director and Group Quality Assurance Director at Sobeys, as well as positions in quality assurance and new product development at Tranfoods, Sun Valley Foods, and Perry Foods Ltd. Sharon holds a BSc (Hons) in Food Marketing Management and Manufacturing from Sheffield Hallam University and has further international experience from studying at Hanze.
