Mihaela Popescu is a researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) and the University of Bremen, focusing on state estimation and sensor fusion algorithms for legged robot systems, while also teaching mobile robot navigation and robot control architectures. Prior experiences include a master thesis project at Bosch Engineering GmbH on vehicle localization for automated driving and a software development internship at the same company. Mihaela has also worked as a student assistant at the University of Dortmund and completed several internships related to robotics and driver assistance systems. Currently, Mihaela is a PhD candidate in Robotics at the University of Bremen, having previously obtained a master's degree in Automation & Robotics from TU Dortmund University and a bachelor's degree in Automation and Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca.
