Joshua Sanchez Alvarez

Joshua Sanchez Alvarez has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and software development. Joshua started their career as an intern at Talos Digital in July 2019 and worked there until January 2020, primarily as an SAP Commerce (Hybris) Developer. Joshua then joined SURA Asset Management in September 2020, where they worked as a Backend Developer until July 2021 and later transitioned into the role of Data Engineer from July 2021 to June 2023. Currently, Joshua is working at DFX5 as a Data Engineer since June 2023. Their experience showcases their expertise in data engineering, software development, and SAP Commerce (Hybris) development.

Joshua Sanchez Alvarez pursued their undergraduate education from 2016 to 2020 at Universidad EAFIT, where they obtained a degree in Ingeniería de sistemas (Systems Engineering). In 2023, they enrolled at Universidad Nacional de Colombia for a specialization in Analítica (Analytics), which is still ongoing.

Additionally, Joshua has acquired several certifications to enhance their skillset. In August 2022, they completed the "Getting Started with Data Warehousing and BI Analytics" course from Coursera. This was followed by a certification in "Cloud Data Engineering" from Coursera in November 2021. In August 2021, they obtained a certification in "Data analytics fundamentals" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and also completed the "SQL for data science" course from Coursera. Prior to that, in November 2019, Joshua obtained the "Quality Assurance Mastery - Manual Software Testing" certification from Udemy and completed the "Introduction to Deep Learning" course from Coursera in July 2019.

Recently, in October 2022, Joshua added another certification to their list by becoming an "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" through Amazon Web Services (AWS).
