M Imran Hamid

Brigadier General M Imran Hamid, afwc, psc has joined as an independent director of 'Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd' at 994th meeting of board of directors held on 19 Mar 2021. Previously, 'Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission' appointed him as an Independent Director of 'Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd' on 15 March 2021.

Brigadier General Imran was commissioned with 31st BMA Long Course in the prestigious Core of Infantry in 1994. In his glorious military career, he served in various important appointments of Bangladesh Army both as Staff Officer and Commander as well. The officer served in six infantry battalions of Bangladesh Army. He was an Assistant Director in 'Special Security Force (SSF)'. He served as the 'Aide- de- Camp (ADC)' to the Hon'ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina with utmost dedication and sincerity. He successfully commanded the prestigious "7 East Bengal" regiment as a Commanding Officer in Dhaka Cantonment and Chattogram Hill Tracts. His staff tour of duties includes as General Staff Officer (grade-1) and Colonel Staff in Military Operations Directorate at Army Headquarters. He also commanded the only Mechanized Brigade of Bangladesh Army 'Adhoc 71 Mechanized Brigade'.

Professionally outstanding and adroit, this officer has received "Hon'ble Prime Minister's Commendation" for his invaluable devotion to duty and service rendered as Aide-de-Camp. Furthermore, he has received "Chief of Army Staff's Commendation" twice for his commendable performance. Brigadier General Imran efficaciously completed his UN Mission as a Staff Officer of Force HQ in Sudan. He is a widely travelled person who visited 28 countries of the world which includes USA, UK, Russia, KSA, Australia, Germany, India etc.

Brigadier General Imran attended a number of training and courses in home and abroad. Besides mandatory courses, he successfully completed 'VIP Protection Course (Thailand)', 'Army Staff Course' and 'Armed Forces War Course (afwc)'. He is a graduate of 'Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST)' in 'Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)' and 'Master's in Business Administration (MBA)' degree from 'American International University of Bangladesh'. Widely learned and educated this officer presently is a PhD researcher of 'Jahangir Nagar University'. Brigadier General Imran took over his current responsibilities as Commander of 46 Independent Infantry Brigade on 10th January 2021.
