John M. Weathers is an Advisory Board Member at Dhaxle. John was previously the Founder Institute, SuperCharger Ventures, The Pennsylvania Alliance for STEM Education, The Cultural Bridge Project, and 21st Century Partnership for STEM Education (21PSTEM). John was a Senior Researcher from September 2012 to August 2021. Some of their notable achievements include USAID funded projects to develop STEM high schools and university-based STEM school teacher and leader preparation programs in Egypt, the PI of a Study of teacher shortages in the Mississippi Delta that was funded by the Walton Family Foundation, and the Co-PI of an NSF funded project to better understand educational data systems to capture teacher movement and turnover. From November 2005 to July 2007, they were a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE), University of Pennsylvania. From January 2000 to December 2005, they were a Research Assistant at University of Pennsylvania's Educational Leadership Program & Consortium for Policy Research in Education. John was also the Co-Founder & Chief Research & Development Officer at QoreInsights from December 2020 to December 2021.
John M. Weathers began their educational career at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School. John then went on to Wesleyan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology. After that, they attended the University of Pennsylvania, first earning a Masters in Sociology and then a Doctor of Philosophy in Education Policy Analysis.
