Sanne Niemann

Sanne Niemann is an experienced professional in marine and coastal solutions with a career spanning over two decades. Since June 2005, Sanne has been with DHI, currently serving as the Head of Department for Marine and Coastal Solutions in Denmark and as Consortium Director for the Fehmarnbelt Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, while also holding roles as Coastal Engineer and Technical Director for Hydrography and Sediments. Prior to DHI, Sanne worked as a Sediment Transport Specialist at HR Wallingford in the UK from November 2003 to June 2005. A visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Twente in 2002 and a hydraulic engineer at LICengineering in Copenhagen in 1999, Sanne holds a Ph.D. in Sediment Transport, River and Coastal Engineering, and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, both obtained from the Technical University of Denmark.
