Joris Monster

Joris Monster is a Data Engineer currently employed at Waterschap Drents Overijsselse Delta since September 2024. Prior to this role, Joris worked at DHL eCommerce Nederland from February 2022 to August 2024, where responsibilities included data warehousing in Azure Synapse, real-time data processing with Kafka in Databricks, developing reusable Scala libraries, establishing CI/CD processes for Databricks, conducting trend analysis for alerting, and streamlining Azure Active Directory group maintenance through a PowerApp. Joris gained foundational skills as a Scala developer through an internal training program at DHL. Joris also served as the Treasurer for USCKI Incognito from June 2019 to September 2020, managing the budget and creating financial reports with fellow board members. Joris holds a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Utrecht University (2017-2022) and completed secondary education at Emmauscollege Rotterdam (2012-2017) with a Gymnasium diploma.
