Diabeter

Diabeter is the specialized treatment center for individuals with type 1 diabetes. With locations in Rotterdam, Deventer, Eindhoven and Groningen, we treat over 3,000 people with type 1 diabetes, including both children and adults. Our focus is on one thing: providing optimal diabetes care. We achieve this by combining personal care and attention with the latest technologies. Our mission is to enable people with diabetes to grow up and live without complications as much as possible. Our specialized diabetes care is covered by all health insurance providers. Our commitment to our patients goes beyond the visits to our clinics. Our diabetes care continues remotely through E-health, education, daily phone consultations, and 24/7 accessibility to diabetes-specialized nurses and medical specialists. E-health at Diabeter provides nearly real-time personalized care by remotely monitoring blood glucose levels. Improved diabetes management results in significantly fewer hospital admissions (only 3% of our patients per year). Most importantly, our patients lead healthier lives, and in the case of children, they grow up healthier. This helps prevent diabetes complications in later life as much as possible!
