Alice Gibbons has a diverse work experience across various industries. Alice started their career as a Research Intern at Tartan Group in 2010 and later worked as a Junior Software Developer at the University of Victoria's Viral Bioinformatics Resource Centre. In 2014, they served as a Software Intern on the Island Health Innovations Team at Cerner Corporation. After that, they gained experience as a Math/Science Teacher at Oxford Learning Centres Inc. In 2016, Alice worked at UrtheCast as a Front-End Software Engineer and concurrently served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Victoria. From 2017 to 2022, they joined Microsoft, initially as an Azure Technology Solutions Professional, later transitioning to the role of Cloud Solution Architect, and eventually becoming a Cloud Native Technical Specialist in the Global Black Belt Team. Currently, as of August 2022, they are working as a Customer Success Engineer at Diagrid Inc.

Alice Gibbons obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Honours) (Co-op) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Alice attended the university from 2011 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Alice has obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Event Speaker Silver, Event Speaker Gold, Insight Selling, Exam 532: Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate. The certifications were obtained between 2017 and 2019.
