⚡ Marc Duiker

Marc Duiker has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. ⚡ Marc is currently working as a Sr Developer Advocate at Diagrid since 2023. Prior to that, Marc was also a Sr Developer Advocate at Ably from 2021 to 2022, where they were responsible for creating and executing the DevRel strategy for the .NET & Azure community. ⚡ Marc also had experience as a Lead Azure Consultant at BNG Bank from 2019 to 2021, where they designed cloud-based architectures and aided in the migration of solutions.

Before that, Marc worked as a Lead Azure Consultant at Xpirit Netherlands B.V. from 2017 to 2021, where they helped organizations effectively use cloud-based solutions and focused on event-driven architectures and serverless technology. ⚡ Marc also worked as a Lead Azure Consultant (interim) at Marlink from 2018 to 2019, where they designed and implemented a cloud-based architecture for cybersecurity insights.

Furthermore, Marc has experience as the Founder of Sitecore User Group Nederland (SUGNL) from 2012 to 2017, where they promoted the Sitecore CMS in the Netherlands and organized technical presentations and demonstrations. ⚡ Marc also worked as a Lecturer of Photography at Volksuniversiteit Alphen aan den Rijn from 2015 to 2017.

In addition, Marc was the Director of the Sitecore Center of Excellence at Tahzoo from 2013 to 2017, where they led a team of developers in creating user experiences based on Sitecore and Telligent platforms. ⚡ Marc also had the role of a technical Sitecore consultant and engaged in pre-sales activities. ⚡ Marc worked as a Sitecore specialist (interim) at DSW Zorgverzekeraar in 2016, providing Sitecore consultancy and advocating for automation and clear acceptance criteria in user stories.

Lastly, Marc is also a Photographer and Owner of Marc Duiker Photography since 2010.

Marc Duiker completed a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry from Hogeschool Leiden from 1996 to 2000. In addition, they obtained various certifications in subjects such as Python for Data Science, Distributed Systems Design, Ethics and Law in Data and Analytics, Machine Learning, Processing Big Data, Web Applications, Scrum Master, HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, Sitecore DMS .Net Developer, Sitecore CMS Advanced .NET Developer, MCPD Web Developer 4, MCPD ASP.NET Developer 3.5, Sitecore CMS Website .NET Developer, MCTS Windows Communication Foundation, MCTS ADO.Net Application Development, MCTS ASP.Net Application Development, MCTS Application Development Foundation, UML Fundamentals, Code Smarter with Design Patterns in .Net, and Windows Presentation Foundation. The years of obtaining these certifications range from 2008 to 2019.
