Prior to their current roles, they founded Leila McKenzie Associates Limited, specializing in executive search and research with a focus on diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity. Leila also served as the Director of Property Development at MDV Developments and as an Executive Committee Member at The Institute of Directors.

Additionally, they have held positions as a Strategic Advisor and Founding Member & Director, UK North at Winmark, where they developed C-suite networks for FTSE and Fortune companies. Earlier in their career, they founded LOFT Talent Acquisition Ltd, which focused on talent acquisition in the food & drink, consumer goods, FMCG, and ingredients industry.
